In 1970, Connecticut Custom Car was started in a 1 bay tobacco
barn in a small town in Connecticut. Walt and Diane, a husband and wife team,
have worked very hard from day one. As Walt painted and layed out the designs
on the cars, his wife Diane took care of the taping and color coordination
work. Walt having 3 years of Art schooling under his belt, would also add
the cartoons, shadowing, etc., to bring the paint job to life.
They worked very hard, and in 1979, they moved into a 14 bay shop. In 1990
their son Walt joined the family team. Father and son layed the custom candies,
pearls, and stock paints, while mom was taking care of the office.
